People’s Choice, AFM throw Pitch

Contest will be recorded live Nov. 6 to 9

The People’s Choice Awards and American Film Market will co-host the second annual Favorite Film Pitch contest during the 31st annual AFM.

Submissions, limited to 2 1/2 minutes, will be recorded live Nov. 6-9 at the AFM, which runs Nov. 3-10. A panel will select five finalists; those film pitches will be posted on the People’s Choice website after CBS’ broadcast of the awards on Jan. 5. Online votes from the public will be tallied, and the winner will receive full access to AFM’s 2011 program and a meeting with producers and distributors.

The kudofest is produced by Procter and Gamble Prods., with Mark Burnett executive producing.
