Stiller, Galifianakis on hand for film event

The 15th Nantucket Film Festival, which has an emphasis on the art of screenwriting, wrapped Sunday with nearly double the previous year’s ticket sales, according to organizers.

The Audience Award votes for feature resulted in a tie between Radu Mihaileanu’s “The Concert” and “A Small Act” by Jennifer Arnold, who also received the Adrienne Shelly Excellence in Filmmaking Award cash prize for a female helmer.

Filmmakers attending the island-set Massachusetts festival included Barry Levinson, Michael Arndt and Davis Guggenheim, who were honored at the screenplay tribute.

An All Star comedy roundtable, presented by Ben Stiller, included Zach Galifianakis, Andy Samberg, Sarah Silverman and moderator Brian Williams.

Winner of the Tony Cox Screenplay Competition for an emerging screenwriter was Tommy Butler for his script “Etopia.”

Fest also presented the East Coast premiere of “Toy Story 3.”
