Actor joins 'Number Four,' in talks for 'Real Steel'
Kevin Durand has landed the role of the villain in the D.J. Caruso-helmed pic “I Am Number Four,” and is in early negotiations to join Hugh Jackman in the pic “Real Steel.”
Both are DreamWorks productions and will be distributed by Disney.
Durand joins the “Four” cast that includes “District 9” star Sharlto Copley and Alex Pettyfer.
The pic is based on the novel by James Frey and Jobie Hughes and is about a group of aliens who escape to Earth after their planet was destroyed by another species, only to realize they are now being hunted on Earth.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar penned the script.
These two recent signings come on the heals of the thesp recent signing with WME. Besides these pics, Durand has also been seen reprising his role as Martin Keamy on “Lost” and as Little John in the “Robin Hood” reboot.
