Faris to star in comedy about pals who sleep together
Universal has tapped Andy Fickman (“You Again”) to direct the comedy “TMI,” starring Anna Faris.
Andrew Panay is producing through his Panay Films with Jonathan Komack-Martin of Dark Trick Films. Universal acquired the “TMI” script last November from Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith and Marc Klein, with Faris attached to star. Story centers on two best friends who accidentally sleep together but soon find out they have “too much information” about each other to make it work.
Faris and Ryan Reynolds are exec producing. Reynolds, who is not in the pic, is partnered with Komack-Martin in the Dark Trick shingle. Universal’s Tracy Falco and Maradith Frenkel will oversee the project for the studio.
Fickman’s credits include “The Game Plan,” “Race to Witch Mountain” and “She’s the Man.” Disney’s “You Again,” starring Kristen Bell, Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis and Betty White, opens Sept. 24.
