Disney flies with angels

Price, Millard to adapt young-adult novel 'Fallen'

Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard have been tapped to adapt the young-adult novel “Fallen” for Disney.

“Fallen” is the first in a four-book series by Lauren Kate that was published in December by Delacorte Books for Young Readers. Story centers on an alienated girl torn between two charismatic young men, unaware that they are fallen angels who have battled over her for centuries. Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray, whose credits include “The Tooth Fairy,” are producing “Fallen.”

Disney is high on Price and Millard, who together wrote “The Game Plan” for the studio, which earned $148 million worldwide.
