Bronk named CEO of Creative Coalition

Advocacy org gives executive director new title

The Creative Coalition is giving its executive director, Robin Bronk, a new title: chief executive officer.

Bronk, who has been with the nonpartisan advocacy organization since 1998, said that the CEO title reflects the org’s increased level of activity in promoting arts funding in Washington, events tied to various issues and an initiative to support independent films, particularly those with important social messages.

On Thursday, the coalition is hosting a gala at the Library of Congress called “Art & Soul: A Celebration of the American Spirit,” in which the Librarian of Congress, James H. Billington, will get the org’s Spotlight Award for his efforts in preserving cultural heritage. The org’s members, including co-presidents Tim Daly and Dana Delany, will trek to Capitol Hill on Friday to meet with members of Congress and for a luncheon to highlight the influence of arts in other areas of education.
