Berlin-based Independent Partners Film and Mogador Film, whose erotically charged “Bedways” unspools in the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section, are back in the sack for another titillating title, “The Lost Love.”
Independent’s RP Kahl, who helmed “Bedways,” will again direct. The supernatural thriller follows a woman who has lost the ability to feel and who is ready to kill in her search for love and passion.
Kahl has tapped Melanie Kretschmann, star of Peter Kern’s Panorama screener “Blutsfreundschaft” (Initiation) to topline.
The steamy “Bedways,” which has generated loud buzz at the Berlinale, follows an obsessive filmmaker, Nina, who holes up in a Berlin flat with two young actors to do screen tests for her erotic film. Seeking to portray love by showing real sex, Nina’s seductive schemes soon blur the borders between fiction and reality.
Miriam Mayet, Matthias Faust and Lana Cooper star.
