Animator to emcee West Coast ceremony

The Writers Guild of America West has tapped “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane to host the Writers Guild awards’ West Coast ceremony Feb. 20 at the Century Plaza.

MacFarlane currently serves as co-creator/executive producer/voice actor on the Fox animated series “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show.”

“I look forward to catching up with my strike buddies from 2007, and making some new strike buddies for 2011,” said MacFarlane.

“He can sing, dance, spin plates…and we’re going to put him to work,”” said show executive producer Spike Jones, Jr.
