Paula Wagner has been tabbed to produce the Jan. 22 Producers Guild of America awards, her first shot at the kudos.
“I’m thrilled to help recognize this year’s most deserving creative storytellers and to celebrate the necessary art and vital craft of producing,” said Wagner, currently the topper at Chestnut Ridge Prods.
Like last year’s Academy Awards, the PGA has expanded its nominees for top film to 10 from five. PGA noms will be announced Jan. 4.
Last year “The Hurt Locker” won the PGA’s top prize — the Darryl F. Zanuck Award — and then went on to win the Oscar.
The PGA awards will be held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.
