Methodfest wins with ‘urFRENZ’

Phillips' pic nabs indie fest's top prize

Jeff Phillips’ “urFRENZ” won best picture at the 12th annual Method Fest, which concluded March 31 in Woodland Hills.

The film also drew nods for best actress Lily Holleman, who recieved the Rising Star award, and supporting actress Najarra Townsend.

Brian Cox was awarded best actor for his role in “The Good Heart.” The audience award for feature went to “Tic,” directed by Keith Parmer.

Bruce Dern was honored with the lifetime achievement award.

The fest, which featured over 100 independent films during its week-long run March 25-31, focuses primarily on acting and the actor.
