AMPAS exec director Davis to exit post

No successor named yet

AMPAS exec director Bruce Davis will exit his post at the end of June 2011, with no successor named yet.

Davis announced the move at Tuesday night’s regularly scheduled board meeting.

The board will ultimately choose the successor, though it’s too early to put a plan into place. Presumably, the org will consider candidates both from within and outside the org.

He began at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in 1981 and was named exec director in ’89.
