Newly-formed unit will be led by Brian Terkelsen

Marketing agency Starcom MediaVest Group has announced a reorg. The company has merged Starcom Entertainment, Mediavest’s Connectivetissue and digital group Pixel into a new entity called Liquid Thread.

The newly-formed unit will be led by Brian Terkelsen, who takes the title of president and managing director.

Move follows longtime Starcom chief Laura Caraccioli-Davis’s Feb. departure to Ben Silverman’s Electus.

The brand names of the three units composing the Liquid Thread are going away, but Robin D’Eilia (Connectivetissue), Jeff Marshall (Pixel) and Tom Weeks (Starcom) will retain their current roles and report to Terkelsen.

Liquid Thread is reportedly set to play a role in the just-announced $100 million three-year deal between Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network and Procter & Gamble.
