Orgs help out Habitat for Humanity of L.A.

Location professionals and business members of the Location Managers Guild of America (LMGA), along with members of Teamsters Local 399, teamed with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles to help build ten affordable, sustainable homes in Lynwood, California.

The location pros, whose typical tools of the trade are cameras, left them at home in exchange for hammers and saws, and committed labor and funding for the project. “Location scouts usually find homes rather than build them,” quipped LMGA prexy Lori Balton.

The LMGA Philanthropic/Outreach Committee, chaired by Mike Fantasia and Kristan Wagner, organized the project, along with Habitat for Humanity Liaison, Mandi Dillin. “As location scouts we see more homelessness and poverty than most people and it is important for us to help” said Wagner.
