After saying goodbye to “The Life and Times of Tim” two months ago, HBO has greenlit a third season of the toon laffer.The pay cabler has ordered 10 episodes of the skein created by Steve Dildarian about a bumbling twentysomething office worker who continually makes bad decisions that affect his career and social life. The first two seasons were also 10 episodes apiece. Produced by MRC and Good Humor TV, “Tim” was shopped to others nets — Comedy Central, TBS and Adult Swim included — but couldn’t get a pick-up. HBO scheduled the second season of “Tim” alongside the first season of “The Ricky Gervais Show,” the animated skein based on Gervais popular podcasts. “Gervais” got a second-season order, but “Tim” didn’t fare as well … until now. Dildarian, who comes from an advertising background, was the voice behind the lead character and driving force behind the skein. Tom Werner, Jimmy Miller, Mike Clements, Leynete Cariapa and Dildarian are exec producers.
