Shingle owns clips from 'Bandstand' and Golden Globes

Dick Clark Prods. has digitized its archival footage and made it available online.

The shingle — which has rights to the Golden Globes, American Music Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards and 30 years of “American Bandstand,” as well as other shows — will allow users to browse, preview and license clips via a newly created website. The company is in talks with other content owners to offer more footage for licensing.

“By digitizing our vast library, we are now able to provide an updated archive service for both traditional and nontraditional forms of entertainment and news for commercial purposes,” said Orly Adelson, prexy of Dick Clark Prods.
