Leonardo DiCaprio has been tapped to narrate “Hubble 3D,” set to be released in Imax theaters March 19.
Imax and Warner Bros. made the joint announcement Wednesday. “Hubble 3D” is the fourth 3D co-production between the two companies.
“Leonardo’s exceptional talent as both an actor and communicator will dovetail nicely with this breathtaking film, and we’re looking forward to having him guide us to the edge of the universe and back,” said Imax CEO Richard L. Gelfond.
The film includes spacewalks by astronauts required to service the telescope. Project brings back the “Space Station 3D” filmmaking team, led by producer/director Toni Myers; James Neihouse is director of photography and the astronaut crew trainer.
