Here’s another way to sound the alarm on global warming: Match harsh rhetoric with harsh rhetoric.
James Cameron called skeptics of global warming “swine” at the American Renewable Energy Day summit in Aspen over the weekend, according to the Aspen Times. He was joined by several other activists on a panel who talked about the troubles in getting the message out about climate change with a powerful noise machine on the right.
Cameron did say that he believed that “Avatar” “did move the needle a little bit” in pointing to the perils.
But acccording to several conservative sites, Cameron wanted to debate warming skeptics, including Andrew Breitbart, at the event but cancelled plans at the last minute. The director has in the past called on Glenn Beck to debate him on global warming.
