Sorry for the late posting today, as I’ve been much of the day at the United Nations event in Westwood, where Secretary General Ban Ki-moon pitched the world governing org’s missions and endeavors as sources of Hollywood material.

Other news of note:

Harold Ford is not running in New York, Jerry Brown is about to declare in California and a surprise blogger is, apparently, throwing his hat in the ring against Barbara Boxer. (Via Laobserved.)

Matt Damon is “disappointed” in President Obama’s healthcare plan and the troop buildup in Afghanistan. He tells the New York Daily News, “Everyone feels a little let down because, on some level, people expected all their problems to go away. But real change comes from everyday people. You can’t wait for a leader.”

Kentucky Sen. Jim Bunning, blocking an extension of unemployment insurance, nearly tops Warren Burger in caught-in-the-elevator crankiness.
