Hollywood’s High Negatives

A new Pew research poll showed very low marks for the public's opinion of the federal government, Congress, banks, large corporations and the news media. And the entertainment industry only does slightly better: 51% have a negative opinion of Hollywood, and just 33% have a positive.

The positive-negative opinion of the Obama administration is 45%-45%.

The positive marks exceed the negatives for colleges, churches, small businesses and tech companies.

The survey measured people's opinions of the "effect on the way things are going in the country."

Favorability ratings for the parties are at record lows: 38% for Democrats and 37% for Republicans.
