A Slam on Jerry Brown’s Daytime Guest Spot

The California Republican Party’s spokesman, Mark Standriff, is mocking Jerry Brown’s appearance on “Dr. Phil” today.

He says in a statement, “I was interested to see that Jerry Brown is appearing with Dr. Phil this afternoon, apparently to share the details of a celebrity drug abuse investigation he’s spearheading.  It’s all part of Jerry’s “Midday Media Makeover”–tomorrow, he’s asking Judge Judy for a ruling on the health care bill and then Friday, Jerry swaps cioppino recipes with Rachael Ray.

“Given just how many of California’s problems can be directly traced back to Jerry Brown’s failed two terms as governor – our bloated state pension system, our inadequate infrastructure,  and our record deficits — it’s easy to see why Jerry would rather try to win a Daytime Emmy than win the trust of California voters.”
