10-20 hours of programming to be available
BRUSSELS — Franco-German net Arte has inked a deal with YouTube to stream content from its catch-up channel Arte +7.
From November, 10-20 hours of programming in both French and German will appear on a dedicated YouTube channel. Volume will increase in subsequent months.
Content will be accessible only from the respective territories.
Deal is part of a strategy to increase Arte’s on-line offer. Apps to view content gratis on the iPhone and iPad will also be launched in November.
“In this way Arte is fulfilling its public service mission, proposing a free, legal offer accessible to the greatest number of viewers,” said channel topper Gottfried Langenstein.
