WME signs Hornby

'Education' screenplay writer joins agency

Author Nick Hornby, an Oscar nominee this year for adapted screenplay for “An Education,” has signed with WME for representation in film and TV.

Hornby’s novels have been frequently scooped up for feature adaptations, a list that includes “High Fidelity,” “About a Boy” and “Fever Pitch.” His most recent work is “Juliet, Naked.”

WME will work closely with Hornby’s U.K. agent, Jenne Casarotto, who will also continue to rep the scribe in all areas, and exclusively in publishing.

Hornby has not previously signed with a tenpercentery on this side of the pond.
