Uziel to adapt ‘Another Love Story’

Mandate taps director for remake

Mandate Pictures has tapped Oren Uziel to adapt “Just Another Love Story,” its remake of Ole Bornedal’s Danish thriller.

Marc Webb (“500 Days of Summer”) was attached last fall to produce and direct, after his work on the next “Spider-Man” installment.

Story centers on a photographer who pretends to be the boyfriend of a woman with amnesia and then must elude the woman’s real boyfriend, who is bent on revenge. Nathan Kahane, James Mangold, Cathy Konrad, Ole Bornedal and Michael Obel will exec produce. Nicole Brown will oversee at Mandate.

Uziel has written “Shimmer Lake,” which sold to Fox Atomic, with Barry Josephson producing. He also penned the script for Kevin Tancharoen’s “Mortal Kombat” short, which recently debuted online.
