U.K.’s Fiver adopts ‘Ugly American’

Digital channel also nabs 'Secret Girlfriend'

LONDON — Five’s digital webs, Fiver and Five USA, have acquired several U.S. skeins, including adult animation “Ugly Americans.”

Scripted by David Stern, toon is a horror-sci-fi hybrid set in New York, where immigration officer Mark Lilly attempts to set vampires and werewolves on the straight and narrow.

It will air on Fiver along with Comedy Central’s “Secret Girlfriend,” acquired from FremantleMedia Enterprises, the third season of David Duchovny dramedy “Californication” and the second run of animated spy show “Archer.”
