STOCKHOLM — Norwegian pic “A Somewhat Gentle Man,” which screened in competish at Berlin, has been acquired by distribs in several territories.
TrustNordisk sold the film to Wild Bunch for the Benelux countries, Xenix for Switzerland, Maywin Media for CIS and the Baltics, Neue Visionen for Germany and Austria, and Vivarto for Poland.
TrustNordisk has also sold Danish competition film “A Family” to Nachshon for Israel and Ascot Elite for Switzerland. Pic was previously picked up by Wild Bunch for Benelux and Vivarto for Poland.
Swedish box-office hit “Easy Money” has been sold to 13 European countries — the latest pickups were Contracorriente Film for Spain, MK2 for France, Lumiere for Benelux, and Maywin Media for CIS and the Baltics.
Negotiations are underway for deals in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Italy. There are also talks about a U.S. remake deal.
TrustNordisk also sold Josef Fares’ comedy “Balls” to New Cinema in Israel and Estin Film in the Baltics.
