Berlin topper joins jury of Sicilian fest

Berlinale topper Dieter Kosslick has been recruited for jury duty by Italy’s Taormina Film Festival.

Kosslick will be on the main jury of the event headed by Rome-based U.S. film critic Deborah Young, who has made movies from the Mediterrenean basin the focus of the Sicilian fest.

Fest organizers have also announced that Shane Danielsen, former topper of the Edinburgh Film Festival and a Variety contributor, has joined Taormina as its senior programmer.

Taormina’s 56th edition will run June 12-19.
