Straume to direct ‘Faith’

Norwegian helmer boards drama

Norwegian helmer Unni Straume will helm “Faith” from a script by Poland’s Krzysztof Piesiewicz.

“Faith,” which will be produced by Valerie Saunders for Zentropa Norway, is the story of 20 year old girl who moves from her small hometown to Norway’s west coast to find her father.

“Faith” has a budget of $3.1 million.

Saunders founded Zentropa Norway last year.

Piesiewicz wrote “The Decalogue” and the “Three Colors” trilogy, both for late Polish helmer Krzysztof Kieslowski.

He is also a politician and a member of the Polish parliament.
