‘Shrek the Musical’ heads to London

New songs, additional scenes to be added

DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions announced today that “Shrek the Musical” will open at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in May 2011, with a press night on June 7, 2011.

Producers Bill Damaschke and Caro Newling and directors Jason Moore and Rob Ashford have re-tooled the show for both the U.S. touring version and the London incarnation. New songs and additional scenes have been added following the original production’s Gotham run which cloased after a 13-month run.

Casting has yet to be announced.
