Santa Barbara Film Fest taps ‘Sarah’s Key’

Kirstin Scott Thomas stars in French opener

Kristin Scott Thomas starrer “Sarah’s Key” has been set to open the Santa Barbara Film Fest on Jan 27.

Directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner, the French pic screened in Toronto and is based on the novel by Tatiana de Rosnay. It will be released by the Weinstein Co. in the spring.

More than 200 films will screen at the 26th Santa Barbara fest, which runs Jan. 27-Feb. 6.
