Reliance MediaWorks buys iLab U.K.

British film lab added to Indian conglom's empire

MUMBAI — Indian conglom Reliance MediaWorks has acquired London-based facilities house iLab U.K.

Among other recent projects, iLab U.K. has provided lab and rushes facilities to BBC skeins “Small Island” and “Spooks,” and feature pic “Dead Man Running.”

The new entity, Reliance MediaWorks UK, will work in conjunction with the parent company’s L.A. subsidiary Lowry Digital and its Mumbai operations.

Facilitating this will be the company’s optical fiber network, which will be used to provide lab, rushes and transfer services to Indian films shooting in the U.K.
