Robert Redford will be at next month’s Mipcom sales mart in Cannes to celebrate the first anniversary of the Sundance Channel in Europe.
He will take part in a Q and A session on Oct. 6 and discuss the Sundance Channel’s international expansion plans.
Also at the market will be Gene Simmons, the Kiss frontman and star of “Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” who will deliver a keynote address in tandem with Bob DeBitetto, prexy and general manager of the A&E Network and Bio Channel.
Another Mipcom highlight is Brit comic duo David Walliams and Matt Lucas, best known for sketch show “Little Britain.”
They will be on the French Riviera to hype their latest laffer, “Come Fly With Me,” commissioned by the BBC in the U.K.
Mipcom runs Oct. 4 to 8. It’s organized by Reed Midem, which, like Variety, is owned by the Reed Elsevier publishing conglom.
