Programming execs split into current, development

RDF USA’s new management team has restructured the shingle’s West Coast office.

As part of the changes under recently named RDF USA CEO Grant Mansfield and incoming chief creative officer Natalka Znak, programming execs will be divided into current and development teams.

Claire O’Donohoe has been named exec VP of current, while Mike Duffy was promoted to exec VP of development. Both execs will report to Znak, the former ITV exec who reports to Mansfield.

O’Donohoe’s duties include overseeing current RDF series such as ABC’s “Secret Millionaire.” Exec joined RDF last year after a lengthy producing career in the U.K.

Duffy, who joined RDF in 2007, will focus on creating original unscripted series and scouting for international formats. Exec had served as senior VP of development and current. , and was also an exec producer on TLC’s “One Big Happy.”

New York-based senior VP Lauren Gellert continues in her role, and also reports to Znak.

“The new structure is evidence of a renewed focus and increased investment in the creative side of our business,” said Mansfield, who replaced RDF USA topper Chris Coelen after he exited in December.

RDF USA could be in for more changes later this year, with Gallic company Zodiak expected to acquire RDF Media Group in a deal worth approximately $230 million.
