Exec replaces Jamie Brewer at U.K. indie

LONDON — Brit indie distrib Metrodome has announced a further restructure to its operations that sees John Ramchandani upped to head of sales, replacing Jamie Brewer, who resigned after two years in the position.

Ramchandani will oversee the indie distrib’s sales department, including theatrical, home entertainment, new media and TV sales. He will report to head of distribution Jezz Vernon.

Ramchandani has been with the distrib for six years and previously held the post of senior national accounts and theatrical sales manager and has also worked as a film buyer for U.K. exhib Cineworld Cinemas.

In March, the distrib announced restructuring of its theatrical film department, which coincided with the resignation of CEO Peter Urie. Some weeks later general manager Sara Frain stepped down after five and a half years at the company.

At the end of April, head of publicity Christelle Randall left the distrib to set up her own consultancy.

The distrib, which is publicly listed, is currently in negotiations to takeover TV distributor Target Entertainment, which has a library of more than 6,000 hours of programming.

A spokesperson for Metrodome was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
