Event takes place during Produced By Conference

The Producers Guild of America has tapped a quintet of feature projects for its inaugural International Co-Production Showcase competition.

The CoProShow event takes place during the PGA’s second annual Produced By Conference June 4 to 6 at Fox Studios. Producers were selected following submission of a screenplay synopsis for a feature-length project currently under development.

“We reached out to film commissions all over the world and received entries from Cape Town to Nova Scotia, Mexico to the Czech Republic and Japan,” said Stu Levy, chair of the PGA’s International Committee. “The winning producers will now have an opportunity to network with American producers in order to co-develop their projects and find the funding necessary.”

Projects and producers selected are “66 Degrees North” (Iceland); Edwina Forkin and Richard Scobie; “The Adventure of Kokochin” (China); Tim Baker and Jing Jin; “The Fourth Knot” (Australia); Matt Hearn; “Somebody Else” (Canada); Andrew Boutilier and Eric Finkel and and “Under the Black Flag” (Australia); Nicholas Cole.
