PBS prexy-CEO Paula A. Kerger will present the opening keynote session at the 31st Banff World Television Festival on June 14.
“As the leader of the largest public broadcast service in the U.S. and champion of public television, Paula will have a wealth of information to share with the broadcast community, especially when it comes to taking advantage of new technology,” said fest exec director Peter Vamos.
In partnership with its nearly 360 independent member stations, PBS is the U.S.’s largest public media organization. Prior to joining PBS, Kerger served for more than a decade at Educational Broadcasting Corp.
Fest runs June 13-16 at Banff’s Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, in Canada’s Rocky Mountains. For the first time nextMEDIA Banff will run concurrently, bringing together TV and digital media communities for the cross-platform event.
