NonStop heads into West Africa

Network extended to cover Kenya, Uganda

STOCKHOLM — Sweden’s NonStop Television, which operates 13 channels in 53 countries, is to extend its network to include Kenya and Uganda from June 1.

On May 1, Ghana was added to the network, which also airs in South Africa and other parts of West Africa.

The company’s channels include Star!, which covers entertainment news, Showtime, which mostly airs Hollywood movies, and Silver, which focuses on arthouse pics.

NonStop has teamed up with Next Generation Broadcasting, which will launch its DTT service Smart TV in the region.

NonStop Television is part of Millennium Media Group.
