Nickelodeon adjusts Indian picture

Channel to introduce more local shows

LONDON — Nickelodeon is making a few changes to its service in India, it announced Wednesday.

The channel plans to introduce more local animation and live-action shows.

Currently, Nick’s lone Indian-themed program is the toon “Little Krishna,” which is based on Indian mythology.

The channel also plans to introduce Korean toon skein “Dreamkix,” and Canadian live-action and animation show “Artzooka!”

Nick in India is a 24-hour pay channel in the Hindi-language with an optional English audio feed.

Recently, Nick entered the South Indian market with Tamil- and Telugu-language channels.

It reaches a combined 33 million households across India.
