LONDON — Former UIP acquisitions exec Erica Motley is joining Icon Entertainment Intl. as its international acquisitions consultant.
The move will see Motley reunited with Icon chief exec Stewart Till. The two previously worked together at UIP while Till was chief exec at the now defunct joint distrib arm for Universal and Paramount.
Prior to UIP, Motley worked as an acquisitions exec for HBO and has also held positions at Fox, Bertelsmann and Shine Entertainment, where she was head of the film group.
Till finally closed his deal with Russian maven Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries to acquire the U.K.-based international sales and distribution operations of Mel Gibson and Bruce Davey’s Icon Group in November last year, some 12 months after it was first announced.
