Skein to run on JiangSu Satellite Channel
LONDON — “The Marriage Ref,” the Jerry Seinfeld-created reality skein, has tied the knot in China.
Following a deal with Endemol Asia, Chinese broadcaster Jiangsu Broadcasting Corp. is to screen the show twice weekly in a primetime slot on the JiangSu Satellite Channel.
The skein, launched at last fall’s Mipcom sales mart, has been bought by broadcasters in Oz and the Middle East, who have licensed both the format and the U.S. version of the show, which shortly begins its second U.S. run on NBC.
Local versions are being produced in Argentina, Israel and Spain.
