C&R and Beijing Intl. Copyright Trade Center link up

Tokyo — Japanese content producer and talent agency Creek & River has inked with the Beijing Intl. Copyright Trade Center to form an in-house unit for registering and distributing copyrights for Japanese content in China.

The unit, operating out of C&R’s Tokyo office, will use the Center’s database to serve Chinese companies, including book publishers, game distributors, TV stations and music companies, who want to securely conduct copyright transactions for Japanese content. The object is to limit piracy.
