IFC Midnight snags rights to ‘Dream Home’

Hong Kong slasher to hit U.S. theaters, VOD in 2011

IFC Midnight, the genre division of IFC Films, has snagged North American rights to “Dream Home,” the Hong Kong slasher pic helmed by Pang Ho-Cheung.

Real estate-rage thriller, which bowed in the U.S. at the Tribeca Film Festival, centers on a young woman who goes to murderous lengths to be able to afford the house of her dreams. Josie Ho stars.

Distribution deal was negotiated by Fortissimo Films’ Winnie Lau with IFC’s Elizabeth Nastro.

Film is targeted for a theatrical and VOD release early next year.

“Dream Home” joins an IFC Midnight slate that also includes “Super” and “The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence).”
