HBO Go launches in Poland

Paybox enters net streaming market in C. Europe

BUDAPEST — Pay TV provider HBO Central Europe is to bow streaming service HBO Go in Poland.

It’s the paybox’s first foray into IPTV and Net streaming in the region. Previously available only to HBO subscribers in the U.S., HBO Go is being offered to Polish subs linked to the Internet through Inea, a telco that operates in the Wielkopolska region, but HBO CE will eventually offer the service throughout Poland and to all the 14 countries in Central Europe in which it operates.

HBO Go offers access to 100 hours of HBO films, drama series and docs, which will be refreshed each week. To pump up the service in Poland, HBO Go will offer subs the chance to view programs before their TV premiere.
