Commercial network wins in all day parts
TOKYO — Fuji Television Network, one of Japan’s five commercial networks, won the overall ratings contest in 2009 for the sixth straight year, according to ratings agency Video Research.Fuji scored an average 13.5% share in the so-called golden time period (7 p.m.-10 p.m.), a 13.4% rating in primetime (7 p.m.-11 p.m.) and an 8.6% rating in the all-day category (6 a.m.-midnight). TBS and pubcaster NHK tied for second in golden time with an average 12.4% rating, while NTV took second in primetime with a 12.6% rating.
