EEAP signs Bulgaria deal

Distribution deal inked with Alexandra Group

BERLIN — Berlin-based Eastern European Acquisition Pool has inked an exclusive distribution deal with Bulgaria’s top-ranking theatrical distrib and leading exhib Alexandra Group Holding.

As part of the agreement, Alexandra will release all upcoming EEAP titles, including “Saw 3D: The Traps Come Alive,” Jim Sheridan’s “Dream House,” starring Daniel Craig; John Carpenter’s “The Ward”; Tom Hooper’s “The King’s Speech”; and Roger Donaldson’s “The Hungry Rabbit Jumps.”

Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete,” Alexandra’s first EEAP release, achieved the best-ever opening for a Rodriguez film in Bulgaria and enjoyed the biggest opening weekend performance of any previous EEAP release in the country when it opened day-and-date with the U.S. Sept. 3.
