'Tonight Show' mugs, T-shirts available -- for now

Conan O’Brien may have left “The Tonight Show,” but his merchandise lives on.

“The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien” items are suddenly hot tickets on eBay, where official coffee mugs are being bid as high as $70.

One seller is even auctioning off a ticket from the final O’Brien “Tonight Show” — and so far the bids for what’s usually a free piece of paper are up to $12.50.

At the official NBC Universal online store, “Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien” merchandise can still be found (at regular price). The site is even taking pre-orders for another run of O’Brien tees, available starting Feb. 15.

According to the store, stock of O’Brien items will continue to be sold until items run out, and backorders of “Tonight Show” T-shirts will be filled.

Meanwhile, NBC’s “Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien” website remains up for now, as the show will continue in repeats until the Winter Olympics begins on Feb. 12. (As previously noted, “The Jay Leno Show” in primetime wraps up on Tuesday, Feb. 9). The webpage offering instructions for O’Brien tix, however, has already been removed (for obvious reasons).

Staffers remain at the Universal Studios “Tonight Show” offices, as the production goes through a shutdown process.

“Today, the office was full — some people were packing, others were just hanging out talking about what’s going to happen next – and the rest of this week will probably be much of the same,” official O’Brien blogger Aaron Blaeyart wrote earlier this week. “What will happen next is anyone’s guess; but we’re all thinking the same thing: we hope to get back on the air as soon as possible so that we can entertain you fine people once again.”
