Comarex nabs ‘Bunch’ soccer films

Latin American distributor buys German pics

Mexican conglom TV Azteca’s international sales arm Comarex announced the pick up Monday of Latin American distribution rights to three features from German children’s soccer drama franchise “Die Wilde Kerle” (The Wild Bunch) from Teuton distrib Telepool.

The films in the series created by kidpic helmer Joachim Masannek, based on books he himself penned, were mostly distributed across Europe via Disney’s international distribs for theatrical and DVD release.

The titles acquired by Comarex are “The Wild Bunch: Beastly Beasts Attacking,” “The Wild Bunch: The Silver Lights Attack” and “The Wild Bunch: Beyond the Horizon.”

Comarex boasts distribution of 42,000 hours of content annually across a wide variety of cable and over-the-air outlets in Latin America.
