CBS sells ‘Defenders’ to FX U.K.

Fox international channel buys drama

CBS Studios Intl. has sold “The Defenders” to FX U.K.

The Fox international channel bought the freshman drama that stars Jim Belushi and Jerry O’Connell as a pair of Las Vegas defense attorneys. Skein will air at 10 p.m. Wednesdays on CBS in the States.

The pilot, set to premiere Sept. 22, was written by Niels Mueller and Kevin Kennedy. Carol Mendelsohn, Joe Gantz, Harry Gantz and Greg Walker are exec producers.

FX U.K. caters to a 25-44 male aud and is available on Sky, Virgin Media and Talk Talk. Net currently airs “True Blood,” “Dexter” and “NCIS.”
