LONDON — A fourth season of British fantasy “Merlin” has been commissioned by the BBC in the U.K.
Bankrolled by FremantleMedia Enterprises and the pubcaster, “Merlin” is produced by Shine TV.
“Merlin,” which is sold by FME, has been a successful international property, with sales to more than 52 broadcasters in over 180 countries. These include RTL (Germany), Disney (South America), Syfy (U.S.), Canal Plus (France) and Ten Network (Australia).
FME’s Global CEO David Ellender said: “With ‘Merlin’ now in 183 countries and a fourth (season) under way, it is a truly global brand.”
The 10-part fourth season is due to start filming in Wales and France next March.
