The Sundance Institute has selected 13 projects for its annual Directors and Screenwriters Lab taking place June 1-25 at the Sundance Resort in Utah.
The projects include emerging filmmakers from the U.S., Ireland, the Middle East, Romania, Spain and Uzbekistan.
“40 Days of Silence” from Uzbekistan and “Bluebird” from the U.S. are among those selected for the Directors Lab. Romania’s “Wolf” and Israel’s “Zero Motivation” will be included in the Screenwriters Lab, along with three others.
The participants will work with a group of creative advisors and professional production crews to shoot and edit scenes from their screenplays. They will also have the opportunity to workshop text and collaborate with actors, helping them to develop new work in an innovative and collaborative environment.
