Festival will unspool Oct. 23-31

TOKYO — The Tokyo Intl. Film Festival has announced that Irish helmer Neil Jordan will head the jury of its International Competition.

The 23rd edition of the fest will unspool Oct. 23-31.

Jordan’s association with the fest goes back to 1985 when his second pic “Company of Wolves” screened in the competition. His filmography includes “Mona Lisa,” “The Crying Game,” “Interview With the Vampire,” “Breakfast on Pluto,” “The Good Thief” and, most recently, the 2009 romantic fantasy “Ondine.”
